cli-spinner software package provides Simple command line that show a slash spinner, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cli-spinner
cli-spinner is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cli-spinner package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cli-spinner *
You will get with cli-spinner package name, version, architecture and description in a table
